“World’s best PHOTO KIOSK”
The Technical Image Press Association (TIPA) honoured the ´Kiosk Gifts’ instant photo solution by Mitsubishi Electric with the TIPA Award 2011. The self-service system with the innovative value-added services was named the current world´s best photo kiosk by the large international trade press association´s committee of independent editors.
Each year, the TIPA editors select the best photo and imaging products that have been launched on the market in Europe in the last twelve months. In the process, the TIPA editors take the innovativeness, the use of state-of-the-art technologies, the design, the ergonomics, the ease of usability as well as the price-quality ratio into consideration.
In their judgment explanation, it was stated that Mitsubishi Electric has created a "center for gift ideas" with ‘Kiosk Gifts´ that takes advantage of the versatility of digital images and invites consumers to creatively design custom-made additional articles. This includes value-added products such as calendars, albums, individually-designed greeting cards or photo boxes, which have been added to the range of classic digital prints of Mitsubishi Electric solutions.
In 2011 the international jury’s independent voting process took place in Istanbul, Turkey within the framework of the TIPA main annual meeting in April. The coveted awards were given out this year for the 21st time for different sectors of the photo and image industry. A second winning product from Mitsubishi Electric was the HC9000D, which was awarded as “World’s best PHOTO PROJECTOR”.
